Beyond daycare and walking, ProspectBArk! builds community by hosting special events and celebrating the unique personalities of the dogs in our care. Our founder Chun-Soon had been kicking around a few names, mostly bad ones, for a dog walking business. Names like "Love and Walkits" were left on the cutting room floor. The name "Prospect Bark" was owned by a fellow in Windsor Terrace, but it languished, unused. A bike ride and $100 later, Chun-Soon purchased the name from him - and ProspectBArk LLC was born. We started with one fluffy dog in Park Slope. Word spread fast. Soon, we had a small team of pet lovers trained to hit the streets. In Jan. 2010, we bought Petato Dog Walking and Pet Sitting, combining forces with the most respected pet professionals in Brooklyn. Now, five years and 200,000 dog walks & cat sits later, we continue to grow rapidly while still responding to the needs of EACH cat and dog in our care. In 2011 we earned 2nd place in the national Entrepreneur of the Year, People's Choice Award, and in 2012 our very first dog walker.
