When Donn Preister became a Tribeca dog walker in back in 2007, he quickly realized that "pet care" was a fringe occupation. He noticed that so many dog walkers were "out-of-work-artists" who were only in the pet care industry until something better came along. Their negative attitude towards the job was apparent in the way they served their clients. Having a strong customer service background, Preister couldn't allow himself to get comfortable with the low expectations and stigma that the pet care industry had. So, he decided to do something about it. Fetchmates was born out of that frustration. Our mission here at Fetchmates is to create the safest, most reliable, professional dog walking service in NYC. We're able to achieve this by hiring passionate individuals who have a desire to build long-term careers with our company.
