Buster and Whiskers was founded by Jennifer and Igor, both of whom have extensive backgrounds in animal care and training. Jennifer's love for animals began early, growing up with pugs and Boston Terriers in New York. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from Cornell University and has over five years of experience working in a veterinary office. Jennifer also volunteered at a farm animal sanctuary, caring for abused and neglected animals. Igor's fascination with animal behavior started in his childhood in Brazil, where he bred and raised German Shepherds and Rottweilers. He has trained Canine Units with the Police Department in Brazil and Certified Service Dogs in New York. Igor is an evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen Test through the American Kennel Club and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. Jennifer and Igor bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to Buster and Whiskers, providing expert care and training to ensure every dog thrives.
